Travel Health Information & Vaccinations

We provide up to date travel health advice tailored to your individual travel health needs and plans.

Every country and every holiday, business trip or gap year has different risks, are you aware of how to reduce these risks and stay healthy during your travels?

We area registered Yellow Fever centre. Our travel health service includes a full risk assessment for health and wellbeing whilst abroad, including malaria prevention, vaccinations, and private prescriptions for malaria tablets where indicated. The practice is conveniently located just 5 minutes away from junction 15 of the M6.

The majority of travel vaccines are available free to our own NHS registered patients; however there is a charge for some vaccines and tablets. In addition we offer private travel health appointments to patients not registered with ourselves, please see our tariff below.

Please make your first travel health appointment at least 4 weeks prior to travel; for complex itineraries please allow up to 12 weeks to ensure that we can accommodate all of your travel requirements.

Before making your first appointment, print off a travel health questionnaire (click here to open document) and returnthe completed form to the reception, the nurse practitioner will then assess your requirements and can ensure that you are given the appropriate appointments with regard to timing of vaccinations.

Yellow Fever Vaccine needs to be assessed on a risk/benefit ratio to minimise the risk of side effects which are more common in the over 60's.  Yellow Fever vaccine certificates are stamped and issued at the time of your appointment.

We will try our best to fit you in for last minute bookings if we can. If you are traveling to a country where a Yellow Fever certificate is mandatory, your vaccination must be given a minimum of 10 days before you are due to arrive in that country.
